CHAMPIONSHIP KART RACING ASSOCIATION
Dear Karters and New Members TEST & TUNE DAY MAY 10, 2008. The tentative date will be this Saturday May 10, 2008 at 11:00 AM sharp. Rain date will be Sunday May 11 same time. Tentative schedule as follows subject to change:
11:00 am Objectives of CKRA
  • 11:05 am Introduce the Executive of CKRA and the areas of responsibility
  • 11:10 am Introduce the Volunteers. Head Flagger, Corner Flaggers, Scoring etc.
  • 11:15am Rules and Safety School mandatory for all (New Drivers). This school will be put on by David Meade and possibly his son Jarred helping out. Please bring a Clip board , pen and pencil as you will need one for race days as well.
  • 11:15 am Rules and Safety School (Parents) on track and in the pits. TBA
  • 12:30 pm Lunch. Barbeque – Hot Dogs, Hamburgers and Pop – Free of charge.
  • 1:00 pm Kart Preparation before going on the track and Kart Maintenance (Drivers & Parents)– Al Meloche
  • 1:30 pm Typical Race Day Procedures (New Drivers & Parents)What to expect and how to prepare yourself – Rick VanSnick
  • 1:45 pm Technical procedures to maintain fair playing field for all (Drivers & Parents)– Jacque Landry
  • 2:00 pm Flagging School for Parents (required to attend as flaggers will be needed over the summer at various events)
  • 2:00 pm Driving school – Jarred Meade, David Meade and possibly others helping out as well.

    > Kart Racing is a source of family fun. Championship Kart Racing Association holds race almost every Sunday, from early May to the middle of October. Kart racers range in age from 8 to Old age. Racers are classed by age and weights.
